* Make leaves have a maximal surface area and minimum volume so all chloroplast have exposure to sunlight. * Have the leave perpetually orientated so the top surface is always facing the sun. * Make all non-photo-synthetic material transparent. * Elevate the leaves above all other obstructions to the sunlight.
Plants make food in their leaves. The leaves contain a pigment called chlorophyll, which colours the leaves green. Chlorophyll can make food the plant can use from carbon dioxide, water, nutrients, and energy from sunlight. This process is called photosynthesis. When sunlight is present, chlorophyll combines it with water and carbon dioxide and creates energy through this process of photosynthesis.
what do we call the process of joining a cut steam of one plant to a slice in the stem of another? Grafting.
it comes through the window or from the garden. the light hits the leaves and makes the plant grow and stay healthy.
lol
i dont know u tell me....
By chlorophyll absorbing the light
chlorophyll
uhkiiui
The sun can supply light and heat to the leaf.
Light energy.
what is the name of the light trapping substance in the leaf
White light form the sun is made up of :-Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet colored light (as you see in a rainbow)When this white light hits a leaf, all the colors exceptGreen are absorbed by the pigments in the leaf. The Green light is not absorbed and this is reflected to your eyes so that leaves appear green.
Light
When light energy strikes a leaf then chlorophill (a) present in leaf absorb that light energy . By use of that energy photosynthesis occurs.
the leaf reflects on the light so it prevents it to burn (fire)
1. Your as green as a leaf 2. Your as light as a leaf. 3. He fell down as slowly as a leaf
Light that is white contains all the colours. When the light hits the leaf, it absorbs all the colours apart from the green light which is reflected back out to your eyes. So you see the leaf as green.
our eyes detect the green light that is reflected off the leaf
The sun can supply light and heat to the leaf.
the leaf uses the sun light to power the chloroplast to do photosynthesis
The function of the leaf blade is to abosorb light and make food.
No
i think it is a reflector of light as we are able to see a leaf in the presence of light, it means when light bounces back into our eye, we can see it otherwise we would not be able to see it. however it is not a good reflector of light, but a poor reflector of light.
