They typically don't. As the eggs hatch, the juveniles are very very tiny, fragile and translucent, and they drift away to become part of huge swarms of plankton, along with the larvae of many other species of arthropod (like krill!), fish, jellyfish and more. They grow up on their own, molting into bigger and bigger forms, and then ending up as regular lobsters with adult habits.
