The purpose of lungs is to introduce oxygen to the red blood cells in your blood, and to collect carbon dioxide to exhale. The red blood cells take the oxygen to all parts of the body. Therefore, the lungs don't "make your blood pure".

However, one function of the liver is to detoxify chemicals in the bloodstream. Most harmful chemicals in the blood are changed by the liver to make them harmless.

In addition, the kidneys filter out excess water and waste from the bloodstream to make urine. In this way, you could say the kidneys' primary function is to "purify" blood.
