Scarlet Macaws live in Central and South America, in rainforests. Scarlet Macaws are a little endangered, because so many people are getting them as pets.
Macaws do not live on the forest floor because they are vulnerable to predators and have better access to food and nesting sites in the tree canopy, where they belong. Living higher up also allows them to spot potential threats more easily and escape to safety.
