You loosen the screw until about 1mm sticks out.
There's an adjustment nut on the hand grip for the throttle cable. Back it out to make the throttle tighter, and screw it in for looser.
since it is a carburated bike it will have an adjustment screw that presses on the arm of the carb where the throttle cable is connected. with the bike running turn the screw clockwise about 1/4 to an 1/8 of a turn until you reach about 900 to 1050 rpm. be sure to give the carb time to adjust after every turn of the idle screw. usually about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
The governor is the screw by the throttle on the hand grip take it out and no more governor.
15miles an hour
If you want to keep it stock, back out the throttle limiter screw. If you are willing to spend money I suggest buying a Honda clone 6.5hp motor. They cost about 150, I got mine at harbour freight. Beyond that, removing the governor gear helps and with a little bit of custom fabbing you can add a cone filter intake and upgrade to a less restrictive exhaust.
Impossible to answer w/o seeing it. Might be as simple as to tighten a grub screw or a clamp, depending on assembly.
The Baja Doodlebug mini bike has been discontinued. However, you can still get reconditioned ones (as of 8-10-12) at suggested link below.See related link below!
As you are sitting on the bike, there is an idle adjustment screw on the left hand side of the carb about 1/3 of the way up on the slide. Turning the screw counterclockwise will slow the idle speed down on your bike and turning it clockwise will increase your idle speed ...Good luck
There are 2 carbs so there are 2 screws. On the front carb: it is behind the throttle pulley just above the pulley. It will be behind a brass cap with a teeniny hole in it... you have to drill out the cap or put a self tapping screw in it and pull it out. (BE CAREFUL) not to drill too deep and hit the screw! On the rear carb: the screw is on the other side of the bike... right behind the throttle cable. If you are looking at the side of the bike, your screwdriver will be right against the frame. You will also have to remove the brass cap on this one.
The same as a street bike. On the right handlebar.
The idle/throttle adjustment is located at the proximal (inside) aspect of the right hand grip. To see it you have slide back the rubber boot that fits over the throttle cable- just peel it back and expose the adjustment nut. Start bike, put in neutral, set kick stand--- turn nut clock/counterclockwise to the desired setting.
where your throttle cable attaches to the engine notice how the lever its attached to works. The notice if there is a screw on it or a spring. If theres a spring, tighten it up for more HP. If theres a screw, tighen it for more HP.
