Without gel, using a lot of water will help it stay down. However, if your hair naturally stays or sticks up and/or out, you need gel.

You can poof your hair up by teasing it, which means by taking a comb and brushing down on sections of hair to make it tangled at the root then just brush that down a little so its smooth on top and it should stay poofed up

go to a salon and get treatments, bu they are expensive and it takes forever to get curly hair back unless you use a curling iron to make it curly or curlers

Put clips in your hair then wet it down with water. after the water dries up alittle bit, then use hairspray on your hair, and take the clips out. Then your hair will be curlier. It'll stay curly longer than curling it with the iron.!
