for one reason: faith in GOD!

The Bible has many prophecies; if you looked at them, you would see that all of them have either come true or are going to come true or being fulfilled right NOW! i say this because the bible is true: what is says is going to happen, happens and what it says happened, really happened. the bible said that Jesus died on the cross and there were witnesses that later went to share what they saw. IT ALL HAPPENED SO WHY NOT BELIEVE

In addition to the above the New Testament was largely written by either eyewitness or those who knew them. The accounts are not 'cunningly devised fables' such as the theory of evolution, which contradicts proven scientific laws. In any case, even non-Christian historians attest to the fact of Jesus' horrible death. What it means is another thing, as is the resurrection. Supposed contradictions in the accounts are merely different perspectives or a focus on different details.

Do the mormons believe that jesus died on a pole instead of a cross?

No, Mormons believe that Jesus was crucified on a cross, just like most other Christians. Mormons believe and study the Bible throughly, so the accounts there are what we believe. Mormons dont however use the cross as a religious symbol like many other religions... Perhaps you are thinking of the Jehovah's Witnesses? They do not believe that Jesus died on a cross.

Jesus took several body shots before he died. Others believe he died of shock and stress from a combination of excessive blood loss and asphyxiation from being nailed to a cross for several hours, but getting shot is also plausible.

Who founded the true cross of jesus?

There are differing answers to this question depending upon who you ask. Some do not believe any part of the cross has been found. Indeed, many debate whether Jesus died on a Cross or a tree/stake. In any event, during the reign of Emperor Constantine of the Roman Empire, his sister, Helena (I believe) was highly motivated to search for locations, relics, stories related to the Crucifixion of Christ. Many credit her with finding a piece of the original Cross.

Why do you display Jesus on the cross if he has already risen from the dead?

Many, many, Christians do not display Jesus on the cross because He has paid the price for sin and is alive and well in heaven. Many churches have an empty cross on the wall usually behind the preachers pulpit. Jesus Christ has died, been resurrected and is working on the Chrtistians behalf. There is no need for Him to be on the cross.

How many lives did Jesus change?

Jesus changed many lives directly, such as the blind man and the leper and his disciples, but if you think about Christians today who are Christian because of him, then he has changed millions, if not billions of lives if you believe in everything Jesus did then you can also say he has changed every persons life who has ever lived, as he died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven

What attracted many followers of Christianity to Jesus?

Actually people are wooed to Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. When they believe on Him (believe that He died for their sin, was buried, and was resurrected) and become followers of Jesus they are then and only then Christians. You have to believe on Jesus before you become a Christian.

Do Catholics believe Jesus rose from the dead?

Yes! Catholics believe that Jesus resurrected. Catholics wear a crucifix or have one in their homes to remind themselves that Jesus died for our sins. They often look to Christ crucified when they are troubled and realize that their cross is much lighter to carry compared to the cross Jesus died on. Yes, in fact, that's why they sometimes keep Christ on the cross-necklaces. This is because they believe he was simply a prophet, not the Messiah himself. The more typical Catholics do this just because they believe his death is more important than his resurrection; although some do exist that deny that he still lives. Q.) How do I know? A.) I grew up in Ethiopia where there are many Catholics and Orthodoxes. Is that what they told you? You should get your "facts" straight, rather than writing nonsense on this site. All Catholics believe that Jesus is God our Savior!

Why Do People Not Believe In The Cross?

A:A great many people DO believe that Jesus was crucified. Not everyone, but a great many. Whether or not he was resurrected is another matter. The Jesus Seminar, a group of eminent theologians and conservative scholars carefully examined the gospel evidence and concluded that Jesus was crucified as a public nuisance but that he was not resurrected physically.
