The earth moves on its axis.


If you are referring to the rotation on its tilted axis, it spins on its axis by an invisible force, creating the seasons with the sun roasting certain potions like a rotisserie chicken in front of a fire.
If you were referring to the earthquakes, the crust (all of the soil and rock) is broken up into 8 sections of tectonic plates, which which they move, causing great or small friction, creates earthquakes of all kinds.
