Instead, it's within the fissures and hollowed spaces within the underwater ice formations of Arctic waters. Such places are hiding places for narwhals from predators. Narwhals don't have dorsal fins. So they navigate easily in and out of these underwater habitats. Their dorsally finned predators can't.
