They are inertia and momentum. If an object is in motion it tends to "try" to stay in motion, and an object at rest does the same to stay put. The forces still act on it, although the forces are slightly weaker.
These forces that cause a change in motion are called Unbalanced Forces, therefore forces that never cause a change in motion and stay the same are called Balanced Forces.
If forces on an object are unbalanced, the object will accelerate or decelerate. If forces on an object are balanced, the object will stay still or keep moving with the same velocity.
a boat stays at a steady pace because there are two forces giving the same amount of force
theres no change in temperature because the heat is used up in overcoming the forces of attraction between the molecules

It forces the opponent to stay in the battle with the same Pokemon.
Terminal velocity. I'm pretty sure that's what your asking.

its a sedimentary rock and contains grains
Balanced and unbalanced forces have alot to do with an objects motion, look at it this way, imagine two puppies are holding on to the same chew toy and they are both pulling with the same amount of force, thus the forces are balaced and the toy will stay in the same place. But if one puppy is pulling on the toy harder then the other, the forces are unbalanced and the toy will move torwards the greater force.
