Seems like a teacher gave you a report on pencils....
Well pencils help with many things. Unlike pens you can erase what you have made, and you can smear it even hours after you have drawn the picture. Although a lot of people now a days rather use digital stuff, I think its best if you an artist or write a lot, to always have a pencil on you. because pens can run out and digital stuff can die but pencils take a while before you need a new one. and there's a lot more ways pencils can help us but there's some for you.
Hope this helped! :)

There are numerous types of pencils in the world, each serving different purposes. The most common are graphite pencils, which come in various hardness grades (ranging from 9H to 9B) for different writing and drawing needs. Additionally, colored pencils, mechanical pencils, and specialty pencils (like charcoal or watercolor pencils) cater to artists and students alike. Beyond these, there are also eco-friendly and novelty pencils, showcasing the wide variety available globally.
Some environmentally friendly options for pencils include recycled paper pencils, plant-based pencils made from materials like recycled newspaper or cornstarch, and wooden pencils made from sustainably sourced wood. These options help reduce the environmental impact of traditional pencils.
