God is in the workplace whenever people who believe in God are in the workplace. Many people who believe in God strongly disagree about the ways in which God should be acknowledged. Because the population in the workplace is very diverse, and their primary reason for being in the workplace is to perform the work needed there, communal religious rituals are largely absent, because so many would object to the details of any specific ritual and in doing so disrupt the workplace. Each individual is free to acknowledge God as he or she sees fit before or after work, and during the work day as long as doing so (as an individual) is not disruptive to the functioning of the workplace. Doing so in groups tends to establish "us and them" groups of those who follow different religious practices, and that is not conducive to smooth performance if needed work activities. This gives some people the impression that God is not in the workplace, but that seems to be because they cannot accept the absence of group religious ritual in the workplace.
