so at the start, "spoon lices in Harlem and is fine with the way things were.he was in love with his girlfriend. then when he goes to prep school, everything is different, people are nicer and he makes some freinds. when he gets back to the ghetto to visit everything just seems different. he doesnt know what is different but something is. his girlfriend even seems different. when he goes back to prep school he meets this girl channelle and they kiss a couple of times but he doesnt go out with her. and when finishes school he finds out his girl is addicted to some drug. it doesnt say what drug.so he tries to help but he cant. then her mom dies and she really gets caught upn in the drugs. he finds her in a crack house and brings her to rehab.then she recovers and they live "happily"(her mom is still dead) ever after
