Hi In areas where there is no electricity people use water to cool themselves down. Another recent development to living without electricity, was the lack of light inside huts and small dwelling's. Recently it was found that if you fill a two litre coke bottle with water and a Little bleach to keep the water clear. By cutting a hole in the roof the light is radiated inside the hut to the strength of a 60 watt bulb. I hope this was helpful.
