As it was the case with most gods, Hestia was offered sacrifices. Because of her control over domestic life, she was given the first sacrifice in the household.

Hestia: Hearth Nicole: "people of victory"
Hestia was the goddess of the hearth, home, domesticity, family, and the state
That in ancient times, the people had homes and hearths as we do today, and a ideal of community worship (temple hearth/civil heath/ home hearth) and community spirit.
Hestia was the goddess of the hearth and home. She most likely helped mothers.
The Greeks looked to Hestia for good fortune for their families. She was offered the first sacrifice in the household.
Hestia had few significant temples or shrines dedicated to her. Rather she presided over the hearth at the centre of each home, the altars of all the gods, and the public hearth of the city. There seems, however, to have been a Hestia temple at Hermione in Greece. The Romans, though, built temples to her equivalent, Vesta. The most famous one on Forum Romanum, Rome.
Hestia's roman name is vesta. She is the Goddess of Hearth and Home. She is the Eldest sister of Zeus and presided over domestic life!
Hestia fears water because she is the goddess of Fire and also mourns and feeld for people/goddesses without homes. :-)
Apollo and Poseidon.
Shintoism people worship at shrines I think
Narcissistic people worship themselves
