While the fact that animals eat plants make it seem like animals shouldn't be around, they help the plants survive.
The animals keep the population of plants under control. If animals were to disappear, then plants would grow everywhere. There's only so much space on the ground, so some of the plants leaves would be covered. The plants wouldn't be able to make food through photosyntesis, and they would die. Now usually plants die of old age. When they do, they are healthy, just dieing. If the plant were to die of starvation, it would hurt the soil a little as it goes back into the ground. This usually doesn't affect much, but lots of plants would be dieing, making the ground unhealthy. All the plants that survived would get sick and die.
Animals do not directly benefit from photosynthesis, as they are not able to carry out this process themselves. However, they indirectly benefit from it through the oxygen produced as a byproduct, which they need for respiration. Additionally, animals obtain energy and nutrients by consuming plants or other animals that have gained energy through photosynthesis.
an organism that lives of another without giving anything in return is called a parasite. For example, a tapeworm lives in animals and uses nutrients from the animals food, this does not benefit the animal. however, animals that use each other and get something out, or two organisms that need each other is called a sybiotic
Photosynthesis in plants benefits animals by producing oxygen that animals need to breathe. Additionally, plants provide food and shelter for many animals, forming the base of the food chain.

What is the 1st benefit? What is the context? One benefit is that solar energy feeds all life starting with plants. The sun's photons are captured by plants to combine air (carbon dioxide) and water to make more plant carbon mass as the plant grows. Animals eat this.
Bacteria live in and on animals, humans and plants.
A platypus does not benefit from the tides because it is a freshwater-dwelling animals. It lives only in freshwater creeks, rivers and ponds.
Animals provide companionship, emotional support, and can reduce stress in people's daily lives. They also assist in activities such as therapy, service, and support. Additionally, some animals, like dogs, can help with security, herding, and hunting.
