Mahmoud darwish. One of the most popular Palestenian and Arabic poets of all time. He was one of the few poets that will have huge crowds at his poetry reading events up until the time he passed away in August 2008. He is known for his patriotic poems and he called for freedom and justice for Palestenians. He was nominated for a Nobel prize in literature.
