The purpose of the creation of the universe is to serve the purpose of humankind which is unequivocally stated in one single ayah (verse) of the Qur'aan:
"And I (Allâh) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)" [51:56]
Note that jinn (a creation which are typically invisible to the humankind also have been created to worship Allaah alone without associating any partners along or besides Allaah.
There are signs in this universe which indicate a creator, a supreme being that is not like His creation:
We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their own selves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Qur'ân) is the truth. Is it not sufficient in regard to your Lord that He is a Witness over all things? [41:53]
Another relevant excerpt from the Qur'aan is:
O man! What has made you careless about your Lord, the Most Generous? Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; In whatever form He willed, He put you together. Nay! But you deny the Ad-Din (i.e. the Day of Recompense). [82:6-9]
actually the big bang is something I don't believe in I believe the universe was created by God
When religious leaders realized that they could not control the people
Most evolutionist believe that the first people ever known to us today were Adam and Eve. They think that they evolved from monkeys (not sure what kind). But if your religious (like most people (especially Christian)) you believe that god created all life forms especially humans.
This is a trick to keep it illegal.
God created it.
According to a Survey in the New York Times, most people believe old age to begin at 68. It is believed that old age is subjective. The older you get, the longer you will believe old age to begin at.
A closed Universe.
If there is not sufficient matter in the Universe, eventually, entropy will take over and the Universe will continually expand and cool until there is no possibility of life. If there is enough mass, the Universe will eventually begin to contract on itself, leading to a Big Crunch, from which the cycle my begin again.
