The wheel studs are replaced by first removing the tire from the brake. Remove the disk brake pads and caliper if it is the front and remove the brake drum if it is the back.
Once you have the brake disk or drum off, simply pound the studs with a heavy hammer and they will pop out the back. if you plan on reusing the studs put the nut on the threads so it is flush with the end and then use hammer as not to ruin threads. Spray WD-40 or heat the brake disk/drum(not the studs) if they are stubborn or rusty.
