To replace the orifice tube on a 1996 Camaro Z28, first, locate the orifice tube, which is typically found in the AC system line near the evaporator. Begin by recovering the refrigerant using a recovery machine, then disconnect the AC lines connected to the orifice tube. Remove the old orifice tube using pliers, install the new one in the same position, and reassemble the AC lines. Finally, recharge the AC system with refrigerant and check for proper operation.
How do you replace the orifice tube on a 2000 Mercury Marquis
where is the orifice tube location on a 1996 GMC pickup truck 1500
The orifice tube on a 1996 Ram 1500 is typically located in the liquid line of the air conditioning system, just before the expansion valve. To replace it, first, discharge the AC system safely and remove the refrigerant. Then, locate the orifice tube in the liquid line, disconnect the line using appropriate tools, and slide out the old tube. Insert the new orifice tube, reattach the line, and recharge the AC system with refrigerant.
It doesn't have an orifice tube. It has an expansion valve that is located inside of the evaporator box. The evaporator assembly will have to be removed and taken apart to replace the expansion valve.
To remove the orifice tube on a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 you need to cut the tube out of the liquid line. Kits are available at your local auto parts store to replace the orifice tube once you have removed it.
Most GM's put the orfice tube in the output side of the condenser, near the bottom. Locate the fitting that runs from the condenser to the firewall, open that fitting and the orfice tube should be inside.

Orifice tube can sometimes refer to the air intake ports in the top of the throttle body (similar to carburator).
Most orifice tubes are placed in the high pressure line to the evaporator at the fire wall connection. You will have to empty the freon from the system to replace the orifice tube which is not very expensive (the tube, that is).
To replace the orifice tube on a 1996 Aerostar, first, locate the tube in the AC system, typically found in the liquid line near the evaporator. Begin by disconnecting the AC lines and removing any necessary components for access. Use a removal tool or pliers to extract the old orifice tube, then insert the new one in the same position. Finally, reassemble the AC lines, ensure there are no leaks, and recharge the AC system with refrigerant.
On the one I'm working on if you follow the tube out of the condenser (on the passenger side), it goes to this aluminum block. This aluminum block has a nut on it. Taking that block apart will reveal the orofice tube.
Best way is to replace the entire line , alternate methode is to cut the orifice out of the line and replace it with an orifice tube repair kit. Personally i change the whole line.
