To replace the orifice tube on a 1996 Aerostar, first, locate the tube in the AC system, typically found in the liquid line near the evaporator. Begin by disconnecting the AC lines and removing any necessary components for access. Use a removal tool or pliers to extract the old orifice tube, then insert the new one in the same position. Finally, reassemble the AC lines, ensure there are no leaks, and recharge the AC system with refrigerant.
The orifice tube on a 1993 Ford Aerostar is located in the refrigerant line, typically near the condenser or evaporator. To replace it, first, ensure the AC system is discharged and safely remove the refrigerant. Then, locate the orifice tube in the line, disconnect the line fittings, and use a small tool to extract the old tube. Insert the new orifice tube, reattach the lines, and recharge the AC system.
Where is the orfice tube in a Ford Taurus
Most GM's put the orfice tube in the output side of the condenser, near the bottom. Locate the fitting that runs from the condenser to the firewall, open that fitting and the orfice tube should be inside.
It is made into the liquid line, you have to replace the line to service.
The orfice tube is located in the evaporator inlet tube. There is also an expansion valve in the rear evaporator case.
Best way is to replace the entire line , alternate methode is to cut the orifice out of the line and replace it with an orifice tube repair kit. Personally i change the whole line.
in front of the condensor box on the firewall there is a tubing fitting in the line that goes to the evaperator core in front of the radiator just ccrew it apart using two wrenches so you dont twist the tube the orfice tube is pointing toward the cond. take apair of needle nose pliers and pull the little flat tab that is the orfice

It does not have an orifice tube just a compressor and accumulator
It's inside the liquid line. Replace the tube and use the GM universal OE filter kit to prevent repeat failures. The kit is almost cheap as free and so so so worth it.
On a 1996 Oldsmobile LSS, the orifice tube for the air conditioning system is located in the high-pressure line, typically near the condenser or in the line leading to the evaporator. To access it, you may need to remove some components for better visibility and reach. It's important to properly discharge the AC system before attempting to replace the orifice tube. Always refer to a repair manual for specific instructions and safety guidelines.
You need special tools to remove the orifice. The best way is to purchase the line its in and replace it in one piece (less likely to leak too).
