well i know in Alaska the salmon travel from the interior of Alaska to the pacific ocean. That means from Fairbanks to the ocean, however far they choose to go in the ocean i don't know. From Fairbanks to Anchorange its about 250 miles so that should give you an idea since Anchorange is by the ocean.
