There are different ways of asking someone how they're doing in hebrew, but the most important thing to remember is that there is one way of asking a female and another way of asking to a male. Like this: Mah shlomech? (to a female) / Mah shlomcha? (to a male) or: Mah itach? (f) / Mah itcha? (m).

However, there are ways of asking that has the same form for both female and male, such as: Mah koreh (what's going on) or Mah ha'inyanim? or Mah nishmah?
