I have a Brittany and indeed the collar does work. While we have a 24 acre spread bording a very nice spring fed creek and lots of field and woods, our dog loves to cross the road in front of our place. She is attracted to kids especially and will forget all training and run towards them almost at any cost. Of course this is very dangerous as we do have traffic on our road. I use a shock collar that is both waterproof and has sound. I trained her to come when I call her without the collar and then she knows the command. I first used a mild shock and a little heavier shock if she chose to ignore me if the temptation was strong. After awhile she learned that when she has the collar on she is to mind and does. I don't have to use the shock anymore as the sound works magic. She does not mind all that well if she does not have the collar on so I did something wrong I am sure?
You can find a variety of shocks at www.shockwarehouse.com. This website allows you to search for the make and model of your vehicle to find shocks that will work for you.
Any air shocks are good and will work on your car.
Rear air shocks work by using a small air compressor to provide additional lift and support. This is particularly handy for towing heavy loads.
I have done this and it works GREAT..!!!!! You just have to adapt your lines to fit the shocks.. Don't be afraid to buy your shocks and install them....as long as you have skills.
it shocks dogs when they get near and is safe
Air shocks are good for vehicles that carry heavy loads, although there are other options for load bearing suspension that work just as well. Standard shock absorbers are much less expensive and work well with the average passenger vehicle.
Shocks are just that, shocks. There is already a suspension system in place and you add shocks to it. The shocks can be replaced easily.Struts have part of the suspension andthe shocks included in one assembly. The struts have to be disassembled for access to the shocks.
needs custom work.
Depending on your vehicle, how much of the work you do yourself, and the type of shocks and struts you buy, it can cost about 250 to about 800 dollars. This price also varies depending on the area where you live.
I used to work for a Chevrolet dealer and yes the Z71 option package included heavier duty shocks than the standard suspension option.
Elka shocks are the best shocks.
