All starfish have a small "eyespot" at the end of each arm. This spot senses light, but is not sophisticated enough to allow them to see images.
YOu can not tell the difference between a girl or boy starfish.
It can tell light from dark with its eyespot.

the starfish does not have a brain it is made up of nerve cells that control it's functions A starfish doesn't have a brain in its head like we do. Instead their entire nervous system acts like a distributed brain. So, it has a brain, just not like ours.
Slides are always positive (they represent light areas as light, dark as dark). Negatives are the opposite.
That means that basically you can not see if it is light or dark in a room. Or if it is night or day. You pretty much can not tell light and dark things apart.
