It just so happens that humans are really, really good at seeing apparent order in randomness. Most asterisms don't look much like what they supposedly represent... Orion does look a bit like a guy with a sword on his belt, and it's possible to convince yourself that you see a bull's horns in Taurus, but Leo looks more like a plow than a lion, Cephus (supposedly a king) looks like a kid's drawing of a house, Cassiopea (Cephus' queen) looks like a W. and Cancer doesn't look like much of anything.
