You need the ability from your parents first. If you already have the ability, on the bottom it will say press "/" to type. Press / and you can type whatever you want. Just don't use profanity or you will get suspended or banned.

∙ 13y agoIf you mean how to talk to teammates without the opposing team(s) seeing the message, you type % and type. Example: % This is how to team communicate. If you mean how do you talk to someone that doesnt have a chat bar (or you dont have a chat bar), you can use the Safe Chat menu on the far left side of the window (it looks like a speech bubble).
