Depends on the type. Sometimes, the best way to deal with grief is to talk to somebody about it, or write everything you are feeling down. Often, this will help you make sense of things. You could also try the "curl-up-on-the-couch-with-a-good-book-or-a-good-movie-with-somebody-that-cares-about-you-" approach.
