Not really. I haven't noticed that anything last any longer in them than in any other bags. Our house was just tented. The company doing the work gave us special bags to bag all the food. My room mate who thinks he knows it all, decided to bag a bunch of food in garbage bags. When we got back, all the food that he had bagged was sitting on the front porch, the men doing the work told us that the food was stored in a regular bag so the food had been compromised.
