they get twigs, small branches, etc. then put it together.
Cuckoos do this.
Sometimes they can make out where a nest came from or if it is man-made or not. They will probably live there if they don't have a choice, but some birds would rather build their own nest.
yep ofcourse birds can carry their nest... while they carry it from chaff and from other things and store it together and finaly they make their own home. Then why not they can carry their nest..?
A cuckoo doesn't make a nest of it's own. Instead it lays an egg in another birds nest. The cuckoo relies on the other (smaller) birds to raise it's young for it. Cuckoo birds lay their eggs in clocks. I thought everyone knew that. It is the Brown-headed Cowbird that lays their eggs in other birds' nests.
I wouldn't. If the nest is moved, and with human scent on it, the mother bird will usually abandon it. Leave it be until the baby birds are kicked out to fly on their own. Then it can be removed.
Owls do make their own nests. In fact they look alot like birds nest's but bigger.
it looks like a birds nest
The nest was built by birds.
A cuckoo does not make a nest, a cuckoo will lay an egg in another birds nest, the other bird will then care for the egg and chick as if it was it's own.
if it is their own kind and a different gender, they do it to breed, otherwise to mob other birds in large groups or to get them away from their nest.
Te specific study of the birds nest is calle "ornithology".
Probably none. Birds generally build their own nests. It makes them feel safe.
