Best Answer

The two daughter cells that result from mitosis are diploid just like the parent cell. The daughter cells have the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell. In meiosis, 4 daughter cells result each with half the number of chromosomes that the parent cell had and are therefore called haploid.

Which best describes the daughter cells produced by mitosis?

The daughter cells produced by mitosis and cytokinesis are genetically identical.

What do mitosis and cytokinesis produce?

Each cycle of mitosis produces 2 daughter cells from 1 parent cell. Cytokinesis is the final stage in each cycle, where a cleavage burrow is formed and the cell splits into two identical daughter cells.

How do the daughter cells at the end of mitosis and cytokinesis with their parent cell when it was in G1 of the cell cycle?

They are identical with same number of chromosome to the parent cell

What dose each identical daughter cell have complete after mitosis?

After mitosis followed by cytokinesis, the two identical daughter cells have a complete and identical set of chromosomes, which are the same as the parent cell.

In mitosis how does a daughter cell compare with its parent cell?

A daughter cell and its parent cell are exact copies of each other.

Does mitosis result in two daughter cells?

Yes; most cell reproduction is mitosis; where the number of chromosomes is the same in the daughter cells and the parent cells.

If you compare the parent cell to the daughter in mitosis what can be said about their chromosomes?

the daughter cells' chromosomes are a identical to the parent cell. they each have a complete set

How do daughter cells produced by mitosis compare to the parent cell in size?

they r identical

How does the genetic make up of cells that results from mitosis differ from the parent cell?

Mitosis followed by cytokinesis results in two genetically identical, diploid daughter cells. Meiosis followed by cytokinesis results in four genetically non-identical, haploid daughter cells.

The completion of the physical division of the parent cell during the last stage of mitosis is known as?

The G0 phase is the last stage of mitosis in which the physical division of the parent cell is completed.

How does the heredity of a cell formed by mitosis compare to the herdity of the parent cell?

During Mitosis the cell creates an exact replica of the DNA and the cell as a whole. When an offspring is formed asexually the parent and offspring are also identical. When an offspring is formed sexually half the genetics of the parents are passed on to the offspring.
