Best Answer

The visible portion of the ear is shaped in such a way that it best amplifies sound. A pig's ear is large and concave so that it can trap sound waves and amplify them inside the pig's ear for optimum hearing.

Ear size affects your hearing, as the ears act as tunnels and travel sound to your brain, so the smaller your ears the harder it would be for the sound to travel through to the brain, and if you had big ears you would have sensative ears and be able to hear things very easy (: x
