I just picked up two Bernardelli model 60s 22 at a gun show, one was new all steel never fired and the other was used with a alloy frame but in mint condition. Being that they are small compact guns I didnt expect them to be accurate but boy was i wrong. These small pistols equal the accuracy of a ruger mark iii 4inch and they are just as dependable, it can shoot bulk pack ammunition or the hard hitting hypervelocity 22 ammo. Bernardelli build quality shotguns and their pistols were no exeption. These little hanguns are build with the same craftmanship as the beretta 70, 71, 80s series and 948. From firing at least 1100 rouns through each of them i can tell you that these guns are a great buy for the price and that nothing that is being build today maches the quality of this pistol except the beretta 87 wich is just as good but extreamely expensive.

First pull the Magazine out, pull the slide back and make sure the pistol is unloaded with both safeties on. Then with the clip out and hammer cocked, press the button at the rear most part of the gun on the left side just above where your hand would be if you were firing the gun. When pressing this button pull back and up on the slide and it should come off after about an inch.

Most of the small Bernadelli pistols use a magazine latch at the bottom rear of the magazine. This will be slightly rounded with grooves in it. WITH YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER, pull back on the magazine latch, and pull down on the magazine. If you are not comfortable with guns, please put it in a box, and take it to a gunsmith. You will NOT be the first person to bring him a gun like that.
