∙ 12y agoPeople affect the environment in many many ways, too many to list here. Here are some of the common ones and how you can change your ways to do less of an impact.
Driving 5-10 times a day- The average family commutes about 5-10 times a day to go to school, go shopping, running errands, and many other reasons. The way to change is try to put more things in one trip rather than 5.
Using unnecessary electricity around the house- This includes leaving lights on when you leave a room, keeping the t.v on when you leave or go to a different room for a long period of time, using multiple electronics at one time (i.e watching t.v, playing on a laptop, and listening to radio.)
Using cars for everything- I have a big lots, target, and safeway all within a mile (not even a mile) of my home. Yet my parents still drive down there to get food and what not. For stuff like this just ride a bike and bring a basket or something with you if you have quite a bit of items. Use the car when you buy a tv or you have 15+ bags of items.
