There are some major differences between wet and dry monsoons. Wet monsoons, also known as summer monsoons, occur between June and September. Blowing from the south they bring in the ocean moisture and deposit it on land. Dry monsoons, also known as winter monsoons, occur between October and May. Blowing in from the north, dry monsoons do not offer the moisture.
