I find the question rather funny. No one markets cocaine, crack, marijuana or any other illegal drug because they don't have to. Its addictive. Clientele seek out the dealer. And, in these days and times, the dealer could be the kid next door, the priest at your church, the schoolteacher, the doctor, the best friend...so no marketing necessary. Ecstasy markets itself through making you feel better than anything in life could ever make you feel. Your first kiss, your first love, the day you get married, your first child being born... better than everything combined. Clever marketting wouldn't you say? On top of that if you're privaleged to pure ecstasy (MDMA) there are no health or brain damage risks to you assuming youre a healthy individual to begin with. The only somewhat lasting effect it will have is temporarily lowering the seratonin levels in your brain, which will return to normal in 2-3 months. If its pure theres also no chemical addiction risk, only your own personal desire to feel that good again.
