No, marigolds don't help keep squirrels from eating your tomatoes. The first tomatoes to be eaten by the squirrels were in patio pots and surrounded by marigolds almost half as tall as the tomatoes. One tomato is now completely bare of tomatoes, it had 5 or 6 before the squirrels found it. The other still has 5 but by tomorrow probably will have only one or two left - if any.
