In a simple explanation, I think its because the roots act like a netting holding the soil in place.
The roots of forest's and trees help hold back the soil and debris, therefore stopping the erosion.
Planting trees might stop water erosion because the roots help hold the soil in place.
it decreases because the trees stop the movement of the soil and block it
have permanent plants or trees growing on their farm
Farmers will plant trees to stop eroion, thus the roots cover the soil
we can decrease oil erosion by planting trees ,stop desforation, trap the soil to fall down from the mountains, and to picking oils from the ground
The trees stop the soil from falling/dropping into the water in the reservoir. Hence, it prevents soil erosion.
Was imported from japan to help stop soil erosion in 1876
Tree roots hold the soil in place, the roots take up water and send it up the tree and out the leaves (evapotranspiration), which keeps the soil from getting saturation - saturated soil can slide.
By afforestation and avoiding over grazing we could stop soil erosion.
Vegetation holds the soil in place when it is planted. The roots control all of the surrounding soil and thus prevents from the soil leaving, which, as a result, stops erosion, kind of like the mangrove trees in the Everglades.
Erosion can wash away soil from plants and stunt their growth. Erosion can uproot plants and kill plants. On the other hand plants can help stop erosion.
