You may be low on brake fluid or the parking brake linkage needs adjusting.
If im thinking right about your problem you are showing a light on your dashboard....can be cause bcs cable its stuck or a rear brake cylinder or drum its bad....
that light is the low coolant warning light
The parking brake light comes on when you engage the parking brake. Pull the parking brake release handle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the brake light also comes on if the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder is low ( in your engine compartment )
Check the switch and/or make sure the parking brake pedal is all the way up if it is not that might be air in your brake lines or leak
The BRAKE(!) light will go on steady without the parking brake on.
What light? Headlights / Parking lights can only be turned off while in park. turn the engine off, set the parking brake. Start the engine..... as soon as you remove the parking brake the lights will come back on

No , the brake light should come on when you press the parking brake pedal , but the ABS light should not come on
The brake light on most vehicles is not only an indicator that the parking brake is on, but that there is a problem with the system.
In most new cars the parking brake light is also activated when the linings of your brakes wear out.
Faulty or over sensitive parking brake switch or sensor.,
The red brake warning light is an indication of low fluid, a loss of pressure, or the parking brake being set.The red brake light stays on when the parking brake is set, the fluid is low, or there us a loss of pressure.
Either your parking brake is on or the BRAKE FLUID level is LOW in the brake master cylinder
2 things could be the problem. If the "Brake" light is on that usually comes on when you set the parking brake then it could be the brake fluid is low. Check that. If it is the "Brake Lamp" light then check your brake lights. 1 of them could be out.
the parking brake is either sticking or the sensor is bad This could also be a warning that there is something wrong with the braking system. The light is not only for the parking brake in most vehicles.
To release the parking brake, hold the regular brake pedal down with your right foot. Push down momentarily on the parking brake pedal with your left foot until you feel the pedal release. Maybe the problem lies in the switch that operates the "brake" light when the parking brake is applied. The DRL do not light up until the parking brake is released. I know that if my parking brake pedal is down so much as one "click" of the ratchet mechanism, the DRL do not illuminate.
If your parking lights are on and your left brake light doesn't work, the brake may have burnt out. You might also have a wiring problem.
Yes , the " BRAKE " light in your dash lights up if the emergency / parking brake is on or if the brake fluid level is LOW in the brake master cylinder in the engine compartment

My owner's manual says it's either low brake fluid or a faulty parking brake switch.
it may be because there is another problem in the brake system
The brake light in the dash comes on if the parking brake is engaged or the brake fluid level is low in the brake master cylinder in the engine compartment
