Plants can be affected in a variety of ways. Lava flows will burn and bury plants. Pyroclastic flows can sweep plants away, burn, an/or bury them. Toxic gasses and fresh ash can also poison plants. At the same time, volcanoes tend to create very fertile soil, which promotes plant growth.

Volcano's affect plant life because when they erupt they give off lava and it's to hot and kills them. And when a ash cloud covers the sun and it gets to cold and kills the plants
