Because of all the EM radiation we receive from the sun.
Also . . .
yes, they can travel.
Body waves: seismic waves that travel through the body of a medium Surface waves: seismic waves that travel along the surface of a medium and have a strong effect near the surface of the medium than it has in the interior
seismic wave travels faster through solid rock and slower through water, but i dont know why!
They dont travel in wave or swells of more than 1 meter at worse They dont travel in wave or swells of more than 1 meter at worse
Light is considered a self-propagating wave. So it does not need a medium, which is why it reaches the earth from the sun. The mediums which dont absorb the light (and therefore allow light to travel through it) depend on the wave length of light. For example a gamma ray (has a very short wavelength) can travel through metal and takes a block of lead to absorb it.
No, light is slowed depending on what medium it travels through. That's why we have the constant ' c ', defined as the speed of light 'in a vacuum'. The actual speed light travels through air, glass, jello, or water, is less than 'c'.
i dont know and i dont care
Electromagnetic waves, including light, can travel at the speed of light in a vacuum, which is approximately 299,792 kilometers per second (186,282 miles per second).
i dont know but the sound will stay more in glass

Sound needs matter to propagate. There's not much matter between us and the sun. Even if there were matter enough, the sound wave is not unidirectional and spreads out. A lot of spreading can be achieved in a distance that takes light 8 minutes to traverse. +++ Indeed, it would spread spherically. It's worth pointing out that although sound cannot reach us from the Sun, the electromagnetic radiation (heat, light, etc) that does reach us is subject to the same inverse-square spreading rule, rather neatly because despite the Sun's size, it is far enough away from us and anything else of significant obstruction to be treated as a spherical source in an infinite volume.
dont no
