Wolves survive in cold weather simply because they have coats of fur that protect them from snow and wind.
they have a shaggy water-proof coat of fur
They have thick fur that holds the heat in.
If the season is cold, like lets say winter, its coat gets thicker and insulates heat within it to keep the wolf warm.
they have fur
They just do
A few minutes
Mating (breeding) season for gray wolves usually starts in late winter.
White wolves live in winter areas. In any winter area.
Wolves mate in the winter-time, and then the female of the breeding pair gives birth in the spring.
they hunt
Wolves do not have homes. They live in the open.
wolves survive the winter by food. because wolves can eat 1 elk and go on for several weeks it helps them through the winter. Some of the Gray Wolves that have been returned to Yellowstone Park in the USA have become bison-specialists. ALL Wolves hunt in packs, so 1 elk will last a few DAYS, not weeks. 1 Buffalo (Bison) will last several days, also. But wolves travel and leave the carcass for scavengers, such as bears. The wolves are actually MORE SUCCESSFUL hunting in winter, because their prey has difficulty negotiating the deep snow.
it depends weather it is winter or summer... in winter they have more fur in summer they malt it all and change to a different colour
they use their fur and survival instincts
every winter
gray wolves eat at least 20 pounds each week in fall and winter.
