In order to calculate how much space a house takes up, all you need is a measuring tape and basic mathematics. What you want to do is measure the outside of the building along the walls. Using your measurements, you can calculate both the perimeter and area the building takes up. Did you know can use these calculations to determine how much wall-to-wall/floor-to-ceiling room a building has? ~Apple Juice
To determine the linear feet of a house based on square footage, you need to know the dimensions of the house. For a simple rectangular house, if you assume an average width and length, you can calculate the perimeter. For example, a 1500 sq ft house that is 30 feet wide and 50 feet long would have a perimeter of 160 feet, which represents the total linear feet of the exterior walls.
To calculate the volume of a house, you multiply the floor area by the ceiling height. For a house with 3,500 square feet of floor space and 9-foot ceilings, the volume would be 3,500 square feet × 9 feet, which equals 31,500 cubic feet.
To calculate the square footage of your house, measure the length and width of each room in feet and multiply these two numbers together. Add up the square footage of all the rooms to get the total square footage of your house.
to calculate square feet you need a 2d shape
328.084 feet. How do you calculate it? Just type "feet in 100 meters" in the Google search field....
You can't actually go from feet to square feet because feet is distance but square feet is area. but to calculate for example the square feet in a rectangle you would do base times height.
An area of 5 feet by 800 feet is equal to 5 * 800 = 4,000 square feet. How you can remove 4,000 square feet from an area of 2,000 square feet is a separate and nonsensical question however.
2 feet wide and 43 feet long is 2 ft. X 43 ft. = 86 square feet removed, so there would be 1,914 (2,000 - 86) square feet remaining.
Multiply feet by 0.3048 to get meters.
Feet divided by 3= yards
Feet divided by 39.3701 = meters
You multiply the feet by 0.3048.
