An arc is a portion of a circle.
The default method for drawing arcs is to specify three points-the start point, a second point, and the endpoint. You can draw an arc using several different methods.
Use a compass.

With GStarICAD, a polyline is a connected sequence of arcs and lines that is treated as a single entity. You can draw a polyline with any linetype and using a width that either remains constant or tapers over the length of any segment. When editing a polyline, you can modify the entire polyline or change individual segments. After you specify the start point of a polyline, a prompt box provides several options as you draw, such as Distance, Halfwidth, and Width. You can specify different starting and ending widths to create a tapered polyline segment. After you draw at least one polyline segment, you can use the Undo option to remove the previous segment. After you draw two or more polyline segments, you can use the Close option to complete the command by drawing a segment that ends at the start point of the first polyline segment you drew. Choose Done to complete the command without closing the polyline.

Draw a straight line and with compass mark off two joined arcs above and below the line and then join the arcs together which will produce a perpendicular line.
A compass is mainly used to draw perfect circles, but it can also be used to draw arcs of different sizes.

You could draw two arcs from the North pole to the equator, with a 10 degree separation. The two arcs and the equator would form a 190 degree spherical triangle.

.dwg is the default drawing format of GstarCAD; at present, GstarCAD is compatible with ever version of .dwg and .dxf files from 2.5 to 2010, it is means GstarCAD is compatible from AutoCAD 2.5 to AutoCAD 2012. If you are using AutoCAD 2013, you have to exchange the file with GstarCAD and save it as earlier .dwg version before 2010. By the way, GstarCAD will be compatible with AutoCAD 2013 soon.
