How do you Remove PCV valve on 2004 grand caravan?

It sits in the rear valve cover and is held in with a rubber grommet. Very hard to remove. I used a pair of 6" vise grips and a pry bar. I first carefully heated the valve with a butane torch at a 90 degree angle. Only heat the metal part! Clamp on the vise grips and pry.
