To remove the wiper mechanism from a 1997 Hyundai Accent, first, disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety. Next, remove the wiper arms by loosening the nuts at their bases and carefully pulling them off. Then, take out the plastic cover at the base of the windshield, if applicable, to access the wiper mechanism. Finally, unbolt the wiper motor and linkage assembly from its mounting points and carefully detach it from the vehicle.

The replacement wiper blades will come with instructions on how to remove and install the wiper blades. Your owners manual should also have instructions if you don't follow the instructions on the replacement wiper blades.
The 2005 Hyundai Accent takes 20" drivers and 18" passenger side wiper blades. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only. Be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment.
