Can a Jehovah's witnesses date an atheist?
A true Jehovah's Witness would never date a non-Jehovah's Witness. JWs are taught that dating is for those who are ready for marriage. Marriage is a sacred bond that two like souls share and JWs only marry JWs or even date JWs because their lives revolve around what they are taught and when they date or marry a person who shares these same principles, ideals and beliefs it makes the relationship run extremely smooth and that much more enjoyable for both parties involved. For more information ask a Jehovah's Witness when you see them or go to your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness' and ask anyone for more information on the matter. Probably not. Being a Jehovah's Witness, I know that she is very religious, maybe she couldn't come over because she had to attend a meeting. I think she would have let you know if you were hurting her in some way. Hope this helps. :)

Jehovah's Witnesses do not observe a rite called "communion". Once per year we celebrate the death of Christ that is called the "Memorial of Jesus' death", as Jesus instructed @ Luke 22:19 "Do this as a memorial of me". Jesus was there instituting the celebration with his 11 Apostles who rule with him in heaven. At the "memorial" we also observe the part of the "Memorial" where Jesus passed the "bread & wine". Are there any partakers? Yes. The scripture at Romans 8:14-17 in part says: "The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God's children", and...."heirs indeed of God". So only those whom the "spirit has borne witness" partake of the "bread & wine" emblems. It is a matter between them and Jehovah that they have the "heavenly calling" and therefore are of the "heavenly class" that Revelation 14:1-3 speaks of. Those who do not partake (the majority) have the hope of living forever on the earth after it is restored to paradise conditions described in Psalms 37:10 &11, also Revelation 21:3,4. being a witness i hope i could answer that. this is up to your sister. if she thinks that you will be doing immoral things at her reception, then she will most likely not invite you. but, if she trusts you or if you come to some agreement that you will act somewhat christian like, then that is simply up to her conscience.
