First off, if you are having to add coolant, then you have a leak that needs to be repaired. Add coolant on a cold engine by removing the radiator cap and filling the radiator to the top. Fill the recovery reservoir to the cold full mark. Start the engine and let it run until no air bubbles are present. Replace the cap, and drive the car for at least 10 miles. Check the recovery tank level and add to the full hot mark.
