You have to first enable the quick bar. Once this is enabled you can put icons next to the start button. Right click on the task bar, select properties and look for the option that enable quick bar
Firstly, you have to find the program that you want to add to the taskbar. Note that the program you want cannot be a Modern UI app, meaning apps downloaded to the Windows Store. Then, right click the program in the desktop and click on 'Pin to Taskbar' and that it's. The program will now be on the taskbar.
How do you add icons to the taskbar? Well, when you add something like Hotmail it just shows up, but you can delete those by right clicking the mouse at the top and tha's what you do!!!
just right click and press add to task-bar

Pinning is a feature that was introduced in IE9. It allows you to drag th address bar icon to your task bar and then the site will have native application like behavior.
Go to the software. Right click on it . Then select pin to task bar.
There is no Gmail Toolbar, There is the Google Toolbar.
To move the task bar to the right hand side of the screen, simply take your mouse cursor, left click on the mouse button and hold, and drag the task bar to the right hand side: it will adjust accordingly. All u have to do is drag a program from the START MENU down to the TASK BAR
Hold down the cntl key and drag the icon to the quick launch bar. This will copy the icon. If you don't hold the cntl key it will move the icon to the quick launch bar.
Just go into programmes and right click on what you want then press add to task bar. Hope this helped! ;)
