You can't do that. There is only one audio/music track to work with in Windows Movie Maker.
go to windows movie maker, press narration and talk.then to my computer where the start button is,then press your music file drag the narration in windows movie maker and there.you have your sound.hope it works.
Since there is only one audio track to work with in the program, you can't do it easily. But, here's how it can be done: Add the background music to your video first. Publish/Finish/Export it. Then import the file back into Windows Movie Maker and add your Narration to the Audio/Music track.
No, you do not have to have an iPod or Mp3 player to put music on Windows Movie Maker. You can download music from the internet or rip it directly from CDs for use in the program.
Rip the music from the CD (using the feature in Windows Media Player). Once you have the files on your computer, locate and import them into Windows Movie Maker.
First you have to rip the CD to your computer (use Windows Media Player for that). Once you have the CD music on your computer, Import it into Windows Movie Maker using the Import Media feature.

The 2.1 and 2.6 versions of Windows Movie Maker have a narration feature. So as long as you have a microphone connected to your computer, you can record voice in the program. But, Windows Live Movie Maker does not have a Narration feature. Just a thought... You can use your sound recorder to record voice if you feel more comfortable with it instead of the Narrate feature in WMM. And since WLMM does not come with a Narrate feature, that's your only choice. Once you're done recording, place it into the music track. You can work with voice the same way you do music as long as it's in the audio track.
There is no Mix Feature in Windows Movie Maker.
You can't add Narration in Windows Live Movie Maker because the feature is not available in that version yet. Only v2.6 (and v2.1, I believe) have the Narration feature...But not Windows Movie Maker.
Since Windows Movie Maker only has ONE audio track to work with, you can't add a second audio independently (in a separate track). But, you can overlap your Narration onto the Audio so that it plays simultaneously. Here's how:> Add your Music to the Music/Audio track in the Time-line view> Add your Narration onto the Music/Audio track (behind it)> Now, click, hold and drag the narration backwards over the Music itself. If you are doing this correctly, a thin blue line appears as you are dragging it backwards. If the line disappears, you've dragged it too far. Drag it only as long as you can see the blue line.Once you have done this, the Music/Audio and Narration will play at the same time. Test it by previewing results.Note - Important:I would suggest adjusting sound levels of each audio clip prior to "overlapping" the two, because the program may freeze up with conflicting tasks (it won't be able to figure out which audio you want to edit/adjust). So, make audio adjustments before overlapping the music and narration.Thank youuuu! :) You're so helpful thanks!! :)
once your in widows movie maker, go to file, then import into collections, then get the song.
This is how to do it on Windows Vista. To find out how to do it on Windows XP, go to the question "How do you import iTunes music into WMP?"First, open Windows Music Player. Then open "Documents" then "Music" then "iTunes" then "iTunes Music". You can now drag your music to Windows Media Player Library.
